Family Wellness Programs
Sierra Native Alliance (SNA) Family Wellness Program includes family preservation, parent education, counseling, case management and advocacy to support families achieving their family wellness goals.
SNA offers Positive Indian Parenting classes and Families of Tradition family activity nights. Participants of all ages are invited to share a meal, learn about family values and traditions through storytelling, cultural arts and education activities.
Family Advocacy Services
For families involved with child welfare, juvenile justice, or special education services; SNA provides advocacy to assist families in understanding the legal process, including their rights under ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act) and the resources available for families. Perinatal and Early Childhood Resilience
SNA Family Resilience project provides perinatal and early childhood parenting education and support through home visitation and case management to support the health of children and their families during pregnancy, birth, and through the first five years of life. Family Wellness groups are provided by telehealth until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
Behavioral Health Services
SNA provides group, family and individual counseling services. Wellness Education includes Positive Indian Parenting, Women’s Healing Circle and Family Violence Prevention which includes Anger Management and 52-week Men’s and Women’s Domestic Violence classes.
